Young Trayvon was suspicious and killed because he was BLACK. Emmett Till was murdered because he was BLACK. More than half of the U.S. Prison population is BLACK. Africa was colonized because it was the land of BLACKS. The people of Africa were turned into slaves and called BLACK. BLACK women face the most extreme forms of racism, sexism, homophobia and classism. And just because the president is BLACK doesn’t mean a thing if the world sees BLACK people as inhumane. I hope all this anger politicizes people, especially those seen as BLACK. The end of our problems means an end to our BLACKNESS.
